Too hot to blog,

in fact too hot to do anything in my studio, which has a south-east facing window meaning direct sunlight all morning, and then takes ages (if ever) to cool off. So please do not worry about me (as if!), normal service will be resumed - sometime soon.

I hope you can find a way to stay cool - it is going to be 88 here today - my windows and blinds are closed on the sunny side - the fan is blowing the cool morning air in the front - soon it will be reversed - I've got to keep that sun out of the windows. Fortunately our evenings are very very cool and we can sit on the deck and enjoy the lovely summer.

Stay cool!

Our house is sideways on to the sun so stays cool. Enjoy the weather.

The winter window quilts I made have come in handy!

I had some cream 'black out' fabric left over and I've hung this over some of the windows on the OUTSIDE. It's helped enormously on our south facing windows. I put up the parasol outside the french windows and linked that with some of the fabric to stop the sun blazing in.

Stay as cool as you can!
