Heaven's Gate

We're still discovering new and interesting places to visit in this lovely area that we find ourselves in. Yesterday we took a picnic lunch out to Heaven's Gate, a hilltop viewpoint overlooking Longleat House and Park.

In the distance we could see Frome.

We had to walk through a small section of Longleat Forest to get back to the car park.

and when we got back to our car, this gorgeous beastie was parked next to us.

I planned to go here a few years ago but it poured with rain so I didn't go, there are such lovely views, you have taken some good pictures.
