5 in 5, December, a walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal

Friday was forecast to be bright and sunny, a very pleasant break in the weather before the arrival of Storm Desmond, so GM and I decided to make the most of the day, and took another walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal, this time from Semington to Seend. As usual, I have slightly stretched Sandie's "rules" as the time-scale covers about 2 hours, rather than 5 minutes!

(We decided to walk up to the main road and catch the bus back to Semington, where we had left the car).

What a lovely day for a walk. We stayed in Ssend when we visited Wiltshire last year, there is a lovely pub near the canal where we could stay overnight in the camper. I wonder if you went in for lunch or a drink? Thoroughly recommend that for another visit, if not!
I enjoyed this walk with you Joy. As you probably know I love waterside walks and canals so this ticked all my boxes. Thank you for taking part and I hope the weather gives you many more days before Spring arrives for more walks.

Where you stayed Sandie was at the Three Magpies at Sells Green, I've been there often. This one is the next pub along westwards, have been there a couple of times before, but it never used to be this expensive! We only had a drink as we had a picnic lunch in the car - as we often do when we go out walking, pub lunches are so expensive and usually far more food than we like to eat.
