Gratitude Days 253-259

Day 253   Jools and I have been Facebook virtual friends for ages, it was beyond exciting to meet her in the flesh, and spend time with her.

Day 254    I loved the ambience at the Chalice Well  Gardens

Day 255   First crocuses of the year

Day 256    I could have made it to the top, but I was very aware that if I did I was likely to struggle coming down again, so, as they say, discretion is the better part of valour.

Day 257     The sunset was pretty amazing

Day 258   I love the beautiful soft look, like a towel, of the ice on the roof of my car

Day 259     After a bright, sunny and cold couple of days, it's back to the rain.

Day 249  I love my red leather gloves

Day 250   Dark clouds blowing away quickly on the wind

Day 251  I love Guinness, especially in the winter

Day 252  I prefer this shot to the full moon shot, because you can actually see some of the craters on the right hand side

Happy New Year

My very old version of PS Elements 8, which was free with my OU course back in 2010, is slowing down to such an extent that I have to allocate more time than I really want just waiting for it to rise from its slumber, so I've made the decision to switch over to GIMP, which is Linux based image processing software. I'm not particularly good at change, so have set myself the challenge of having a little play with GIMP every day until I'm used to it, and posting one processed photo a day using it for the year, by which time it should be old hat. So today is Day One . . .

. . . and here is my first GIMP processed image
