196/365 A sad farewell and a happy hello

Monday 8th November 2010 James Price died peacefully in his sleep, aged 98. Rest in peace Uncle Jim

Tuesday 9th November 2010 Marissa Chikaka Poole born 5.30 a.m. Mother and baby doing well, thank you Ed and Junko for my granddaughter, welcome to our world, little lady.

    Marissa is a chosen name, I love it, and Chikaka is the name of her other (Japanese) grandmother

    Sad as it is that uncle Jim has died, his life for the past 12 years has had no quality to it, being blind, deaf and bedridden, and his passing has been anticipated for the last 5 years, so my overwhelming emotion is one of sheer delight at the birth of Marissa.
