Scales, please note. . .

. . . I spent the morning doing housework, I went out for a walk and a ride on my bike at lunchtime, and I spent half an hour digging the garden this afternoon - AND - I haven't had a beer today (well, not yet), so I would like the numbers to go down this week NOT up. Thankyou.

    Beer or no beer, I hope the scales are kind to you :)

    By the end of last year, after John and I had been on our training walks since September, I'd lost nothing! I then went a bit mad over December/Christmas and put on 7lbs which I've only just managed to get rid of!


    And that's taking into account that the 20+ mile walks we've been doing just recently should have been burning approx 2,000 calories!

  2. It's so hard once we reach that certain age - it just wants to sit there doesn't it? I have never had a big tum or extra hips but this past year it has exploded (not a pretty sight) and no matter what I do it just sits there
