172/365 A sunny Saturday in Plymouth

It was a beautiful warm and sunny day so in the morning we went down to the Hoe.
Sir Francis Drake, poor old chap looks as if he needs a bit of a facewipe.

Drakes Island

The Lido, Rog used to swim in here as a boy.

We climbed down to the bottom and sat on the rocks for a while.

Back to the top, and saw this ship-on-a-stick

The view from a bit further round

Along to the Barbican, and here is the memorial stone for the Mayflower, which set off from this very spot

I'm told Plymouth gin is very good, maybe I'll have to try some.

This is where we went for lunch, "The Who'd Have Thought It", a lovely pub in Milton Combe

Lovely ice cream

The birthday boy, happy 80th birthday Ron.

You were spoilt with nice weather and a lovely county.

We stayed in Combe Martin when the boys were babies. Lovely.
