The bus

I rarely used buses when we lived in Surrey, mostly because they didn't really go to where I wanted to go, and also because they cost money!
Since moving to Wiltshire, which almost coincided with my 60th birthday, I have a bus pass which means I can use them for free. There is a very convenient bus that goes from the market place and stops (as long as its one of the usual drivers) right outside our house.
We have two usual drivers, one does the ten to and the other does the twenty past, and look what they have done. Do bus drivers anywhere else do this?

Brilliant - cannot remember the last time I used a bus.

How lovely! I don't tend to use buses much these days but I did notice that Father Christmas was driving one the other day. He has also been moonlighting as a bin man round our neck of the woods so he has been very busy!

How lovely although, as I have grown up in this area, it isn't new to me. I don't use buses nowadays but this year have seen bus drivers dressed as Santa, an angel (driver was a bearded male, not a pretty sight!) and an elf.

I don't use buses, but I think this is brilliant, just makes the journey brighter and life pleasanter.

Hi Joy,
My Dad has been a bus driver for over 40 years. Here in Kent, it isn't the bus drivers who decorate the busses, it's local school children. You may find the case is the same where you are.

I dont think the festive spirit has reached our local bus drivers, it is nice to see them joining in the fun where you live.
