Week 13, including some Mother's Day Love

I LOVE all of my GDs, however, GD5 holds a special place in my heart, as I looked after her for 3 days a week from age 5 months right up to just before her 3rd birthday (it would have been longer, but for the wretched cvd episode in 2020). On Friday she was 8 years old, so on Thursday she popped round after school for tea, an early and very small cake and a crystal-making set.

More family LOVE on Saturday, when my DiL, ST, took me, along with her mum and her too adult offpsring, for afternoon tea at a local gin distillery. A LOVELY afternoon, with lots of food, cocktails and laughter.

Besides the meal, GT and ST gave me an orchid - I killed the last one they gave me. I shall shower this one with LOVE, rather than too much water!

I bought a new battery in case that was the problem with my camera (it wasn't). Look at the size of the box it came in! Still it's a good size to keep, just in case!

March steps - I lost the data for the day after the clocks changed, so my monthly total should actually be slightly more than shows, but I was at least ahead of the target of 84.94 miles. I LOVE that I am keeping up with the daily walking.

I've also completed another month of Woodoku, I LOVE this game, it's a bit of a time-waster though.

A belated Christmas gift from JO, from my recent trip to Surrey, I LOVE the sparkles it produces when the sun shines through my library window

Tomato seedlings are coming along nicely. I LOVE freshly picked tomatoes from the Yarden.

GM and I went for a lunchtime beer at a different venue, The Milk Churn, I LOVE the taste of Tanglefoot bitter.

April is here, and what a LOVELY weather day to start the new month.

I trust you've had a LOVE-filled week.

Week 12, visiting LOVED ones

I LOVE my camera, it still feels like a new one, however, this week it's thrown a bit of a wobbly and refuses to work properly. I've googled the error message, and it seems that it might be the battery. Batteries have a useful life of about 2-3 years, mine is 5 years old! So I've ordered a new battery which should arrive soon, and in the mean time I'm having to use my phone, so please excuse the not quite so good quality of the photos this week.

I collected GD5 from school one afternoon, she LOVES nothing better than to stop at the playpark, and I'm happy to let her burn off some energy.

The gorgeous little girl who lives opposite us seems to be LOVING her driving lessons

I LOVE seeing faces in strange places, this is my jigsaw lamp in my studio, which looks as if it's keeping an eye on me.

I don't often travel over the weekend period, however in order to see my GS1, it was necessary for me to travel on Sunday, which, to my surprise, was actually easier than on a weekday!

He's such a LOVELY man, I LOVE him to bits.

The following day my LOVELY DiL, CH, took me to Wisley, it was quite a chilly day, and rather overcast, CH had prepared a flask of tea and some lunch, and we made the most of it. We were unable to go into the glasshouse, as they appeared to be cleaning the glass roof. It was here that my camera objected, so all the rest of the photos are from my phone. Enjoy.

 I hope you've had a LOVE-filled week.

Week 11. What are you LOVING this week?

I spent some time with GO and his family while EG recovered from her appendectomy, and he gave me some LOVELY flowers. GM also thought I deserved flowers, so he gave me some as well. I had lots of fun playing with them all and deciding where best to put them. All vased up and in the kitchen

These for the dining table in the yarden room

These in the lounge

These on the windowsill in the library

And these in my studio

I really LOVE having lots of flowers around the house.

The weather has been pretty cold all week, which gave us some LOVELY frosty mornings and LOVELY colourful sunsets

I LOVE interesting number sequences, this, on my trip meter when I got home one day, really made me happy to see.

GM and I had our usual LOVELY weekly lunchtime outing, this week was back to Wetherspoons, with some interesting wall art

and what looked very much like a headless customer!

I forget the name of this plant, CH's mum gave it to me last autumn. I LOVE that it's taken so well to its spot in the lounge that it has given us a pretty flower.

Another finished jigsaw puzzle, quite difficult, shame about the missing piece.

And finally for this week, crocheting is one of my favourite pastimes, blankets are easy and can be done while watching TV, which is otherwise, I think, wasted time. Here is my latest effort, a LOVELY bright stashbuster. Still a way to go.

Spreading ripples of influence to change the global culture to one of LOVE. LOVE makes the world go round. Please put LOVE into everything you do. Please spread the LOVE, don't resort to fright, hate or any of the other feelings currently around us, choose LOVE.
