Week 41 - spread the LOVE

Apart from the date, there are no photos to accompany the words this week. I may have mentioned previously that I LOVE photography? So much so that I have many photos on my phone, in addition to all those that I take with my camera, and I've made the decision not to take any more photos with either until most of those on my phone have been transferred to my PC and saved onto DVD for long term storage. I've been transferring 10 pictures per day from the backlog, naming, editing and filing in date order as I go. Thus far I've reached mid-August, so only another couple of months worth left to do - should get that job completed over the next week or so, and photos will accompany my next post.

In the mean time, the past week has been filled with many things I LOVE. I was invited to accompany DiL ES and GD8 on a swimming trip to Bath (no pun intended), and as it was GD8's first time, we spent it entirely in the splash pool. It took her a little while to get used to the environment, the water and the noise, but after half an hour or so she was LOVING it, and so was I, the water was warm and one area was just deep enough to do some proper swimming without rubbing my knees on the bottom. It was my first time swimming in a couple of years, and I had forgotten how much I LOVE it.

I continue to enjoy the yarden, getting out into the fresh air as often as I can, I'm LOVING the change into autumnal colours, and preparing everything for the cooler months ahead. I have pulled and eaten some carrots, and the last of the lettuce. It has been very dry, we've been stuck in a period of Dunkelflaute (anticyclonic gloom) for a couple of weeks now, and it's been very dry, I'm afraid that I might have lost a couple of my favourite plants, having not noticed how dry their pots had become. Rainfall is forecast for the coming weekend.

I continue to LOVE crocheting, another blanket is nearing completion.

I continue to spread the LOVE wherever and whenever I can, how about you?

Week 39 and Week 40, including a LOVELY trip away for a few days

I'm a bit of a home bird, I LOVE my yarden and I LOVE making things. September is my favourite month, and I LOVE the three months of autumn because of the magnificent colours, which show up best of all this month, October.

Whilst I do LOVE being at home, it's also great to have a few days away now and then. GM and I don't do the fortnight in the sun type holidays, we just nip away for a few days now and then whenever the fancy takes us. Bristol is not too far away, only 35 minutes by train(!!) and there were a few things I fancied seeing, so off we went. We had a LOVELY time, seeing a few of my favourite things.

How's your week going? Are you spreading LOVE? Nothing is more important.

September Photographic Scavenger Hunt

You probably know by now that I LOVE photography, and I LOVE a Scavenger Hunt. Eileen's monthly Hunt is one I always try to join in. The subject for September was BLUE. Did she pick my favourite colour on purpose, I'm wondering?

Here are my (mostly indoor) Blue offerings:

October's theme is PATTERNS. Why not join us? Thank you Eileen.
