Week 46/52 317-323/365
317. Another misty morning, this gloom enveloped us for most of the week.
318. But we did have the added "excitement" of the arrival at our end of the road of the gas workers who are installing a new gas mains pipe.
319. My first attempt at patchwork is coming along nicely 320. Another misty morning viewed through a huge cobweb outside the bathroom window
321. Kandi Pandi sent me this lovely square for the Blanket Square Swap
322. These two were from Emma, of the Log Cabin . . . (sorry Emma, I cant find a link to your blog - please feel free to put one in the comment section))
323 . . . and these two from Ruby at Moleymakes (sorry, Ruby, I cant find a link to your blog either - feel free to put it in my comments section)

The Green, Devizes
Triangular in shape, the Green sits at the eastern edge of the town, and is a lovely and well-used open space area. Not shown in the photos is a new and extremely colourful children's playground. Several times a year the Green hosts a fairground, and in the Autumn the carnival procession gathers here.
Below is the view of the town from the north on a misty morning

Blanket Swap Squares
I have been participating in Hookin' with Laalaa's blanket square swap, and knowing I was short of time, I got on and did my contributions in double quick time, the last three are going in the post today. I know my name is at the bottom of the list as I was the last to join, but hopefully I'll receive a few more soon, then I'll show.

Long Street
Sorry, I've been a bit busy this week, but I'm here now to continue with our trip around Devizes. Today we are going to have a look at Long Street, which runs from the Market Square eastwards almost to the Southgate.
A higgledy-piggledy mixture of buildings, including Giddings tea-rooms, where I meet up with Jean for tea and chat, Quintessence tea-rooms (haven't been in there yet), I think the little shop is called Dolly Decor, then the Museum with an interesting front that appears to have been squashed in between two other buildings, and lastly a view along a few of the private houses all painted different colours to add diversity.
If you come back next week I'll show you the Green and the Crammer, and then possibly take you along to the other end of the town for a look at the brewery and the canal.
