Springtime/Easter swap

Yes, I know, we've only just got over Christmas and the New Year's celebrations, but I love the thought that at this time of the year, although the days are still short they are actually lengthening little by little, and if you look closely in your garden or local open spaces you might spot the small green shoots of snowdrops, crocuses and possibly even daffodils, which tell us that nature is already aware that spring is just around the corner. So what better time than now to look forward to the next landmark on our calendars, the Easter weekend, which this year falls on the last weekend in March, so is only 11 weeks away.

I so enjoyed participating in Tracy's Christmas Cracker swap that I decided to host my own swap, a Springtime/Easter themed swap.

I suggest that we fill a plastic container, something like a 500g margarine tub or a 1litre ice cream tub - if you're a hoarder of "stuff" like me, you'll already have loads of these lying around, but if not then there's plenty of time to get your hands on one, beg, steal or borrow from your friends, or if all else fails, buy a full one from the supermarket and eat the contents (if you have to take this drastic measure, then ice cream might be a tastier choice!). If you would like to take part please sign up by commenting below, I'll pair everyone up on 1st February, which will then give you enough time to stalk your swap partner, find out what floats their boat, and fill the container with small gift items of your choice, which could be the usual craft supplies, something you've made, maybe a choc or two, anything you like, and when its full, wrap it with fabric, tie up with ribbon and post off to your swap partner. Overseas followers are welcome to participate, but will everyone who enters please state where they are from and if they would be willing to post to an overseas partner. Thankyou.

So, entry is now open and will be closed in 3 weeks time, Thursday 31st Jan.

p.s. I'm not very up on this html stuff, so if someone out there would like to make one of those linky thingies that you post at the side of the blog for this swap, then I'd be only too delighted for you to do so.
