It's not far to walk to the canal and back from home, just about the right distance for a first walk of the year. My pedometer registered over two miles but I think it was just showing off! It's over a year since I've done that particular walk, and some things have changed a bit, certainly the new steps by the bridge weren't there the last time.

Back at home and the lilac is showing new buds, yippee.
That felt good.

That looks like a great walk. I'm sure it was at least 2 miles, and you should take the credit!
What a lovely walk! Thank you for taking us along; I enjoyed seeing all the different sights.
Swans can be tricky to pass, I see that the dog walker lifted her pooch over them - probably wise.
I'd take the two miles - you've earned them :)
