Week 21 Sending Ripples of Influence to Shift the Global Culture to One of LOVE

Please do whatever you can to help to spread LOVE in all its forms, Self-LOVE, LOVING others, LOVING all things, and at all times. Thank you.

GM and I celebrated 37 years of marriage, mostly it's been a whole lot of fun, even though it hasn't always been easy, our LOVE for each other has been the glue that's held us together through the tougher times. Not into huge celebrations, we took ourselves quietly out for the day to a different town, Midsomer Norton, a different Wetherspoons, and treated ourselves to a (shared) LOVELY bowl of chips for our lunch.

We are starting to see LOVELY colour in the yarden

Sunflower seeds sown in a large pot outside in the yarden sadly came to nothing, so more have been sown in a small pot and placed on the kitchen window sill. Who doesn't LOVE a big bold sunflower? Watch this space.

Another LOVELY sight, a huge drop of rainwater nestled on leaves, looking just like a diamond.

To my eyes, there's even beauty in decay.

Have you been spreading LOVE this week? Smiling at strangers? Letting others go first? Any tiny random act of kindness will result in those ripples of influence, and help shift the Global culture to one of LOVE.

Week 20 Shifting the global culture to one of LOVE

It's not difficult, and it starts with us. Each and every one of us. John Lennon knew it many years ago. All you need is LOVE. Just do it.

This week in the yarden has been mostly LOVINGLY brushing a coat of green wood preservative onto the back fence. I tackled it a little bit each day, and completed the job in 5 days. GM does the side fence, but due to having to fiddle in and around climbers and a buddleia tree I felt it best to do the back myself. I hope you agree it now looks quite LOVELY

I recently finished a jigsaw puzzle. I LOVE how Mike Jupp manages to include so many little cameos and nuances into his puzzles, this one is "I LOVE Gardening". (With apologies for the not too brilliant photos.)

I trust you've had a LOVE-filled week, please please help mankind by spreading LOVE.

Who remembers . . . . .

. . . . back in January, when I showed you this?

I assured you it was the gateway to a lot of summer fun. Last week I turned it into this:

Let the fun begin. Well actually it already did, GM was out playing bridge, so I took a solo trip. It was quite a chilly day, and I didn't stay as long as I might have done, but what I saw I enjoyed, in fact I had a LOVELY day out.

Week 19, LOVE is everywhere

The main LOVES of my life are my family and my Yarden, I've spent time with both this week.

GT and ST hosted a belated birthday party for me over the weekend, I received several gifts, which I LOVE.

Please tell me of your LOVES for the week.

Week 18, with lots of LOVELY activities

Warning: Photo heavy

April ended

Ginger one and his family were spending a few days at Center Parcs, they invited me along on a free day pass. The GDs LOVED the beach.

Into May,  GM had booked us a long weekend away in Devon. Our chalet had the most LOVELY views across the Exe estuary

The main reason for specifically choosing Devon (apart from celebrating my birthday), was to visit GM's sister. She wanted to buy me a birthday meal, so we took her to The Rock Inn, in Yelverton, where I chose my favourite, roast beef. It was LOVELY, in fact it was fantastic.

Rather than have a dessert in the pub we bought cornets from a nearby ice-cream van (ice cream made in Tavistock!)

The bank holiday Monday was my actual birthday, I chose to visit Powderham Castle, just a few miles from our chalet. I LOVED it, so much to see (including a vast 400 year old library with over 7000 books!)

The Secret/Walled garden was fun

We rounded off the day by having a meal at The Boathouse in Dawlish Warren, LOVELY meal, LOVELY views. I chose spag/bol, the meal didn't look much, but believe me that was a deep bowl, and it defeated me. I don't like to leave food that has been prepared and paid for, so I didn't leave much.

If you have reached this far, I hope your week has been LOVELY too.
