While Mum was staying with us I took her there for a walk and a spot of bird watching, which is her favourite activity. The car park cost us 50p (there is an honesty box, so if you were really mean you could park for free!) but the lake itself has free entry. It's possible to walk all the way round, but Mum is 88 now, so it was a bit too far for us to consider. There were several anglers, some horse riders, several walkers and even a few families just enjoying the peace and quiet.
A very enjoyable couple of hours.

Looks wonderful. Have been to center parcs a few times there, and longleat, but did not find this place. Maybe a revisit. Your mum looks great. Would never have said she was 88 - certainly does not look it at all.
Oh it does look lovely and so peaceful. I haven't been to that part of the country for ages, perhaps its about time I did.

What a lovely place to spend a day. Your mom does not look 88.
This is one of my favourite places. So glad your mum enjoyed her trip there.
What a lovely place.
Another place to add to the 'places to visit' list :)
