Devizes Carnival and International Street Festival 2011

The Devizes International Street Festival is held on August Bank Holiday Monday each year. The Market Place is closed off for the whole day, there are numerous bands and entertainers of all descriptions performing all day long, and this year we even had our very own Rebekka Brooks lookalike telling stories to the children (scary, or what!)

The Carnival is always held on the Saturday after the Bank Holiday. We usually go down to have a look as the floats are assembling on the Green, I love to capture the children's faces when they aren't posing for the camera. The last shot shows the usually busy London Road just as the town is completely closed off for the Carnival Parade.
