Week 20/52 134-141/365

Rog and I have been away for a few days. I took over 150 photos while I was away, so I'm a bit spoiled for choice this week! Here are 8 of my favourites, just to give a flavour of our break.

134/365 We broke the (relatively short) journey from mid Wiltshire to south Dorset at Sparkford, where I was fascinated by the mark left on the table by my glass, which to all intents and purposes appeared to be round!

135/365 We stayed in a small village called Winterbourne Abbas on the A35, but our accommodation was set well back from the road, so was very peaceful. The roof of our digs is shown lower left in the photo.

136/365 Very close to the Jurassic coast, first port of call was West Bay, Bridport. Sadly no fossils found on this expedition.

137/365 Had a long circular walk starting at Abbotsbury, climbing to the top of the South Dorset Ridge . . . .

138/365 . . . then descending to walk along the coastal path next to Chesil Beach back to Abbotsbury

139/365 No holiday of ours is complete without a visit to a Roman site. This is the best mosaic in the Roman Town house in Dorchester

140/365 Having been a lifelong fan of the works of Thomas Hardy, a visit to Casterbridge (Dorchester) was a must

141/365 Followed by a visit to the cottage where he was born

This week you have been treated to an extra picture, to make up for the fact that a 365 covers 52 weeks and 1 day!
