The remit for this two week's challenge was to use a lens that you dont normally use. Well, I've only got a little point and shoot camera, so I cant change my lens. The lens I have is a very soft one and is excellent for close-ups and macro shots, but not wonderful on long distance and scenery shots, so I decided to go for a smallish aperture (f5.6) and stick with that for a while to see if it made a difference. I should have done it for the whole two weeks, but sadly only lasted for the one day.
This is my first shot
my favourite
and my last shot.
Are the shots better than if I'd used the "P" setting? Not really sure, to be honest.

Hi Joy, thanks for taking part in the challenge.
1st - Looks like a lovely pub. would possibly crop out the left hand building, good exposure on the black and white.
2nd - Lovely colours, lacks a focal point for me but I really like the composition.
3rd - Good lighting, find the tree in the background on the left interesting and would like to see more of it.
Weather for the next two weeks :) x
Love the photos, I think you can get some cracking photos from a point and shoot. I want a pint in the pub but like karen I would have cropped it a little.
Love and Hugs

Hi Joy, three more lovely photos. Like the others I would have cropped the first one. In the second one I really like the way the line of trees lead your eye across the photo and in the third one ... well I'm really into fences so I like it! The exposure and focus is good in all three shots. Well done.
sorry for commenting so late Joy. Great photos, think my fave is the first one...it has character.
